Photo Gallery Knut the Polar Bear Cub Ventures Outdoors
Polar bear cub Knut has become a sensation in Berlin since he was born in December. In this newly-released photo, the little furball, who now weighs 6.7 kilos, ventures into the outside world in a special enclosure.
Hm, what's this? Little Knut still has a lot to learn about the world -- and about how to be a polar bear. The tiny cub has been raised by hand by his dedicated keeper Thomas Doerflein after Knut's mother, Tosca, rejected him.
Knut plays with a brush. The little cub is very cute, but when he grows up to be an 800-kilo predator, those little teeth will be dangerous.
Knut tries to get his tiny teeth around a 2006 World Cup soccer ball.
Does Knut harbor an ambition to be Germany's first polar bear goalkeeper?
