German football team Borussia Dortmund has been extremely successful recently, winning the league championship two years in a row. But it has also had a problem with hooligans and right-wing radicals among its fans. Now, the club has introduced a new surveillance technology that allows more precise observation of the stands during matches.

The team decided to purchase the technology following last October's match against Dynamo Dresden, seen here. Dozens of fans lit off fireworks during the game, forcing several interruptions in the action.

The new technology paid off immediately, allowing authorities to identify a man who held aloft a neo-Nazi banner during a weekend match against Werder Bremen. The banner shown here is not the offensive sign in question.
