Photo Gallery Knut Has a (Half) Sibling
A polar bear that shares the same father as Berlin celebrity Knut (RIP) has been born in Wuppertal. There appears to be a distinct family resemblance, although 'Anori,' whose gender is still unknown, has the good fortune of not having been rejected by its mother.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but there does seem to be a family resemblance. Check out this close-up of Anori and compare it with the following photo of young Knut ...

Knut, of course, went on to global fame. It was announced last week that a statue in his honor, by sculptor Josef Tabachnyk, will be erected at Berlin Zoo this year. This is a model of the winning design.
