Grace Rwaramba, the former nanny of Michael Jackson's children accompanies the family as they arrive for a stay in Hamburg's middle class Niendorf neighborhood on January 26, 2006. Jackson made four private visits to Hamburg in recent years. He enjoyed his time there, with walks along the Elbe River and visits to the cinema. The fourth time, though, the neighbors learned of his presence and the fans descended on the scene.
Responding to his fans, Jackson appeared briefly in the upstairs window and waved.
He then began writing a note.
"I'm so proud to be back in Hamburg. You make me so happy!"
The family he was staying with collected memorabilia from the pop stars fans, which he then autographed for everyone. His legacy in Germany will be lasting.
