This week Berlin hosted the 35th World Cocktail Championships.
Over 100 competitors from 52 countries gathered in the German capital to display their cocktail shaking prowess.
Participants competed in two categories: The "flair" discipline demands a show-stopping cocktail shaking routine.
In the "classic" category, drinks are judged purely on taste.
Razzle Dazzle: Finland's Rauno Tiainen dressed for the part, hoping to impress the judges while preparing the cocktail, "Love Boat 1."
Juggling the juice: German competitor Levent Yilmaz wows the crowd while preparing a blackberry cocktail.
He is competing in the "flair" category, in which participants have five minutes to make their signature cocktail in as exciting a way as possible.
Putting on a show: Australian Joao Paul Rodrigues steps away from the bar to put on a cocktail show.
The bartenders are supposed to prepare three drinks during an acrobatic performance, and their final score is based two-thirds on the act, and one-third on the taste of the resulting drinks.
Twelve judges taste each drink, assessing it for aroma, appearance and taste. "We take just small sips from each drink," Australian judge Ben Davidson said. "Otherwise we'd all be drunk by noon."
