Jean-Pierre Kunkel

Airbrush, mixed techniques, oil on canvas, watercolors, photography, photo processing and illustration - Jean-Pierre Kunkel seems to like all techniques. Kunkel, who was born in Lievin, France, in 1950, discovered art as a teenager. He attended the Academy of Arts in Munich, Germany, and the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg, but never earned a degree. He learned the art of painting and illustration as an autodidact and spent some time studying in Paris and New York. Today, Kunkel, a fotorealist, is one of Germany's busiest illustrators.
