In a day's time, astronauts Yuri Malenchenko (Russia), Sunita Williams (USA) and Akihiko Hoshide (Japan) will be rocketing into space on a journey to the International Space Station. Their spacecraft will be launched from the Russian Cosmodrome in Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The special train used to transport the rocket can be seen in the background of this photo. But, as one can see in the foreground, the massive space port is also cluttered with out-dated technology from yesteryear that sits rusting on the large site.
