Masai wait to cast their ballots in front of a polling station during Kenya's presidential and parliamentary elections near the town of Magadi, some 85 kilometers (53 miles) south of Nairobi, on Monday. It is the first presidential election since the controversial 2007 vote that sparked weeks of tribal bloodshed. Voter turnout has reportedly been high, with long lines outside polling stations. But the day wasn't without violence. At least 15 people were reportedly killed in attacks blamed on a separatist movement.
