Head bangers from five continents gathered in the small German town of Wacken on Thursday to celebrate their love of heavy metal music. Here, two enthusiasts enjoy a performance by cover band Skyline. The festival, which is the largest of its kind in the world, is held annually in the northernmost German state of Schleswig-Holstein, showcasing over 70 bands from Europe, North America and Australia. Black metal, trash metal, gothic metal, folk metal -- you name it, they're playing it. The ruckus is set continue until Saturday.
