A resident of the northern Spanish town of Carnota captured the region's raging forest fire on his mobile phone on Thursday morning. The young Spaniard wore a gas mask to protect himself from the fumes. Last month, the fire claimed the lives of two firefighters in the region who had been working to contain the flames in the village of Fornelos de Montes. The forest fires -- fanned by strong shifting winds -- have since June affected large parts of Spain including the Madrid region, Castile and Leon, Mallorca and Valencia.
