Members of the Nihang Singhs, a Sikh order of warrior-monks, perform gatka, a traditional martial art, in Amritsar, India, on Nov. 4. The Bandi Chhor Divas ("Prisoners' Release Day") festival, which coincides with the unrelated Hindu festival of Diwali, commemorates the release of Sikh Guru Hargobind Ji and 52 other princes from Gwalior prison in October 1619.
