The Portuguese island of Madeira began burying its dead on Tuesday following Saturday's devastating floods and landslides, which killed at least 42 people. Emergency crews continue searching for 13 people still listed as missing. Nineteen of those originally thought to be missing have since been found alive, according to officials on Tuesday. Some 500 people are living in emergency shelters after heavy rainfall triggered mud and debris to flow down the island's steep coastlines into the Atlantic.
