French military vehicles rush to the scene of a gun battle in Surobi, Afghanistan, a town 50 kilometers east of Kabul. About 100 Taliban insurgents have killed 10 French NATO soldiers in an ambush. It was the deadliest incident for international soldiers in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban in 2001, excluding helicopter and plane crashes.
