Help from above: An airplane tries to put out a fire on the Danish container ship MV Charlotte Maersk off the coast of Malaysia on Thursday. The ship caught on fire as it cruised through the Straight of Malacca, one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. More than 30 percent of global trade passes through the waterway. The Oman-bound ship was carrying 1,000 containers and 21 crew members, but the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency said that nobody was hurt in the fire.
