A fisherman walks over the parched earth after managing to collect a few fish from a partially dried-up lake in China's Anhui province on May 25. Central China's Yangtze River region has been suffering from a drought for the past five months and the river's water levels have reached near-record lows. In the neighboring Hubei province, the drought has affected some 315,000 people, while another 320,000 are suffering from water shortages in the nearby Henan province.
