Anti-regime protesters show slogans marked on their hands in Arabic and English during a demonstration calling for the ouster of Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh in central Sanaa on Monday. Security forces shot dead more than a dozen demonstrators and wounded scores more on Monday, the second straight day of lethal clashes in Taiz, south of the capital. The Arabic writing in red reads: "Leave, tyrant." The writing in black says "either we achieve victory or we die".
