Berlin's most famous polar bear, Knut, swims in the pond in his enclosure at the Berlin Zoo, which is currently covered with duckweed. Knut is still waiting to see Gianna, a female polar bear from the Munich Zoo Hellabrunn, who is staying in Berlin while her enclosure in Bavaria is redone. So far they have only been able to smell each other. Knut fans around the world are hoping the two click.
