Hikers walking along the Nantes to Brest canal near the southwestern French city Redon may have had to wipe their eyes in disbelief: Cars floated by them in the water, some with flags signaling that they came from far away. The amphibious vehicles were on their way to Peillac, Brittany, for the opening of "Amphib 2010" a gathering of floating-car enthusiasts. About 50 vehicles from 12 countries participate in the event, which finishes July 30.
