Since 1993, German bicycle designer and amateur road racer Dieter "Didi" Senft has been known as the "devil" of the Tour de France cycle race -- mainly because he has been known to appear during the race stages wearing a red devil costume. He has also painted trident symbols on the road before the cycle racers get there. Senft also designs strange and interesting cycles and operates a museum located between the German villages of Neu Boston and Philadelphia in the eastern state of Brandenburg that features what the Web site says are "over 120 cycle curiosities." One of these is the world's biggest bicycle, which landed Senft a spot in the Guinness Book of Records.
The latest cycle to join his unusual collection is the Michael Jackson tribute bike. Wearing a Jackson-like costume, the part-time performance artist plans to tour 13 European cities on the "Jacko Bike," to commemorate the Michael Jackson festival taking place in his home town of Philadelphia, Germany, on the first anniversary of the pop star's death.
