A child in Bangalore, India looks through special glasses at a solar eclipse which was visible on Friday across much of Africa and Asia. In parts of India, the eclipse was visible for about 10 minutes. Thousands marked the event in Haridwar by taking a dip in the sacred Ganges River. The town is currently hosting the Kumbh Mela, referred to by many as world's largest religious gathering.
