The lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea is one of 28 finalists in the online campaign  to determine the new seven wonders of the natural world. The list includes other geographical splendors such as Switzerland's Matterhorn mountain, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and Venezuela's Angel Falls.
