Greenpeace activists staged a wedding between volunteers dressed as French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday on the Champs Elysee. The organization said it sought to highlight the danger that a strong Franco-German partnership posed to European Union climate regulations. The organization thinks both France and Germany will secure major exemptions for their car industries.
