Roughly 80 whales and dolphins were stranded on a remote southwest Australian beach on Monday, March 23. Volunteers are now fighting to rescue the only survivors, 17 long-finned pilot whales. They plan to truck the whales to a nearby protected bay from where they can be helped back out to sea. Pictured is one of the whales that sadly didn't make it.
