While German revelers partied in the snow this week, the samba dancers of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil were stripping down to feathers and diamantes. In Brazil the four days of Carnival celebrations climax with two night's worth of parades in a purpose built stadium known as the Sambadrome. Around 700,000 visitors were estimated to be in town for the various parties and the parades.
