Much of the world finished celebrating carnival last week. The Swiss, though, are just getting started. The famous "Morgenstreich" parade kicks off carnival celebrations in Basel on the Monday following Ash Wednesday every year. The event is well known for the beautiful colored lanterns that fill up the streets in the old city center during the parade.
