The movie may not have won as many awards as expected recently but that doesn't seem to matter. For the second time this month, protesters have taken to heart the characters created by American director James Cameron for his blockbuster film "Avatar." Indonesian activists from the Center for Orangutan Protection in Jakarta painted themselves blue and dressed like the Na'vi, the indigenous people of the planet Pandora, who featured in the film and who defended their home against environmental destruction by corporate interests. The activists' goal is to urge their government to stop deforestation and save orangutans. Earlier in February, Palestinian protestors also painted themselves blue to demonstrate against a controversial barrier built by Israel in the West Bank.
