A crane lowers a train underground in front of Berlin's main railway station. The train will be part of the new U55 subway line, the so-called "Kanzlerlinie" ("Chancellor Line"), which will run between the train station and the Brandenburg Gate. The line, which is scheduled to go into service on Aug. 8, has only three stops and will not be connected to the rest of Berlin's subway system. But if you want to visit German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the line has a stop in front of her office.
