Spanish matador Jose Tomas is hit by a bull Wednesday in Linares, southern Spain. Tomas was gored by the bull in the right thigh, but he remained in the ring and eventually killed the bull. Tomas had come out of retirement for the event marking the 60th anniversary of the death of famed bullfighter Manolete, or Manuel Rodriguez Sanchez, who died in the same bullring after being gored himself. Tomas's injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
