Picture This Waiting for the Crash
Dieser Beitrag stammt aus dem SPIEGEL-Archiv. Warum ist das wichtig?
Artist Aeneas Wilder poses next to a new work recently installed in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in Wakefield, England. Wilder spent 200 hours piecing together uniform lengths of wood without the use of any fixing materials in order to create the freestanding structure. The piece, "Untitled #155," will show for three months before it is completed through a "kick down" event, that will bring the giant skeleton crashing to the floor. By destroying his work, the artist says he wants to prevent its commodification on the market.
