Picture This Waiting for the Throne
British royal Prince William is proving a hit down under. The 27-year-old has been on a tour of New Zealand and Australia this week and, despite the former colonies' political distance from the previous "motherland," he has been greeted by crowds of well-wishers everywhere. In his first visit to the two nations since he was a baby, Prince William undertook plenty of suitably manly activities -- from shooting to sailing to barbecuing. He also visited charities and opened New Zealand's new Supreme Court building. But as this picture in Melbourne shows the young royal, who came across as charming and down-to-earth and who was hailed by some Antipodean fans as "king," is still happy to take backseat to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II of England.
