Beekeepers work amid a swarm Monday in central Gaza. The apiary's 450 hives produce nearly 9,000 pounds (4,000 kilos) of honey per year, which is sold within the Gaza Strip. The apiary's owner, Jihad Abu Shamalah, had to move the bee farm from northern Gaza because of damages caused by a January 2009 Israeli military offensive against Hamas.
