This evening, SPIEGEL will provide access to an English-language livestream of an interview with American journalist Peter Bergen, the United States' leading al-Qaida expert, as part of the "Der Montag an der Spitze" series of public events, which are organized by SPIEGEL and the non-profit Körber Foundation . The interview will be conducted by Britta Sandberg, the deputy head of SPIEGEL's Foreign Desk.

In the interview, to take place at DER SPIEGEL's new Hamburg headquarters, Bergen will discuss how the international terrorist network al-Qaida has reorganized itself in recent years and the threat it still poses even one year after the death of Osama bin Laden. Bergen will also discuss the impact the Arab Spring has had on terrorists.

Bergen is the author of a number of books on terrorism, including "Manhunt: From 9/11 to Abbottabad - the 10-Year Search for Osama bin Laden".
