Need a quick brush up on Iraq before elections on Sunday? London's Guardian offers a little refresher course  in the form of a question and answer session. We've seen these before, but this one hits all the facts and steers smartly through all the sticky details to briefly deliver what it takes most a mouthful to say.

Words From Iraq

With the security situation in Iraq making it more and more difficult for reporters to cover daily life there, a number of blogs coming out of the country are increasingly becoming must reads. One of the widest read is Salam Pax . Baghdad Burning  is another excellent blog from the capital, as is this family blog . There are a number of American soldiers  recording their daily thoughts digitally, too. This one  is the light-hearted blog of an American soldier keeping nature notes from Iraq; this site  is the touching blog of Michael Smith, who was killed in action on Jan. 11th. For a selection from a number of different blogs, both Iraqi and American, take a gander at Words From Iraq .
